Bruce and his wife Gail have been Palm Colony residents since 2015, but return to Minnesota during the summer months.

Bruce has served on a number of boards over the course of his career, including previously serving as president and treasurer on the Palm Colony board.

As Treasurer, Bruce coordinates annual efforts to develop a realistic and responsible annual budget, and works closely with our management company to monitor financial statements and Palm Colony’s reserve funds. He is also responsible for our overall Insurance program.

As president, Bruce is responsible for:

*preparing meeting agendas and presiding over meetings;

*enabling all members of the board to have the opportunity to give their opinions;

*soliciting input from members of the community;

*making sure that decisions are made only after appropriate consideration, with the best interests of Palm Colony in mind;

*assuring that that agreed upon decisions are effectively carried out.

Bruce has spent his entire professional life working in the high-tech industry and is currently an executive with an IT Technology company headquartered in Atlanta.

Stew and his wife Linda have been Palm Colony Residents since 2021 and spend summers in Bay City Michigan. They have two adult children and are members of the Nest.

Stu is a retired Certified Public Accountant. He was managing partner of a large local firm in Bay City with about 40 employees. Their clients included many small, mid-size and large family businesses, along with several government and not-for-profit organizations.

Stu has also served with several volunteer organizations as a board member and Board President including YMCA, United Way of Bay County, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, the Saginaw Valley Family Business Organization, and the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce.

As Treasurer, Stu coordinates annual efforts to develop a realistic and responsible annual budget and works closely with our management company to monitor financial statements and Palm Colony’s reserve funds. He is also responsible for our overall Insurance program.

Linda Ellenbogen

Secretary & Architectural Review Committee Chair

Term Expires: Jan. 2024

The secretary of the board performs a myriad tasks aimed at managing the records and administrative functions of the team.  Linda will also lead the Architectural Review Committee which reviews owner’s proposed changes to their individual condos.

Linda has spent winters in Palm Colony since 1998 upon retirement from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development. She has resided in Boston since 1970 where she serves on a five person Board of Trustees.  During her 28-year tenure as a trustee she has been involved in $20M in repairs and improvements to their two high rise buildings.  She has served as the Board’s construction and design liaison on the majority of these projects.  She also serves on a variety of neighborhood committees and has been appointed by the Mayor of Boston to serve as a member of Impact Advisory Groups for the many development projects being planned or constructed.

As vice-president Bob supports the president in his duties. Bob’s duties as head of the Maintenance Committee principally within Palm Colony principally focus on making sure we are proactive in maintaining our buildings, common area structures, and pool areas.

Bob Sontag

Director & Landscape Committee Chair

Bob chairs Palm Colony’s Landscape Committee. Responsible through Greenscapes company for maintenance of plants, trees, palms and grass. Oversees the tree trimming and plant replacement and overall irrigation of PC. 

Bob is also  Palm Colony’s representative to the PLCA Owners Committee.

He has been a  strong and effective proponent for maintaining the ponds in and around our community. 

Hank Rakov

Retired healthcare executive with experience in general management, project management, operations and administration.

Hank and his wife, Helen, have been winter residents of Palm Colony since 2013. The balance of the year they live on Cape Cod, MA., where he served on the Town of Sandwich Planning Board from 2010 to 2014 and was Vice Chair of the Town of Sandwich Planning Board 2013 – 2014. Hank has also served on the Pelican Landing Community Association Privacy and Safety Committee from 2016 to 2020 and was Co-Chair of the PLCA Privacy and Safety Committee 2018 – 2020 

BOB SINKIEWICZ

Bob and his wife Rosanne have owned in Palm Colony since 2014.  They reside in Milford New Hampshire and spend the winters in Palm Colony.  They have four adult children.

Bob is a retired Systems Engineer who spent 40 years Designing and developing complex systems for the US Government & Military. Bob also has a background in construction and is a licensed electrician in MA & NH.

As Communications Committee Chair, Bob coordinates the maintenance of Palm Colony’s website and general email distributions.
